On Monday nights, two of my favorite people have been treating us to Confident Faith in an Anxious World. If you’re wondering how to do a Bible study live on Facebook, yep, this is Texas style fun!
Callie Lee plays sidekick to her powerhouse teacher mom, Gina Butler. They offer hilarious personal stories in Texas twang on steroids. You’ll LOVE this mother-daughter dynamic duo. The Bible was never so much fun. Seriously, you’ll forget how scholarly Gina really is!
They present Live on FaceBook, but I asked them for the links. Nobody pays me to share this stuff. I just love it and wanted to share it with you. Get their Study Guide.
Confident Faith
I tried to embed the first in this series here, but the technical part wigged out on me. Hmmm…
So instead I’m putting a screenshot of my friends for you to see and click on.
You can open up The GRJB videos at your convenience at no charge. FREE. Can you believe it?!
I don’t know about you, but I love anything that gives me confident faith in our anxious world! Gina started GRJB Ministries and this current Bible study, Confident Faith, out of her heart for those who may feel uncomfortable in church buildings. Get the Study Guide.

Doing Stuff With Friends
Last Fall Gina presented The Heart of Credibility at our first Writing Friends Workshop. Sign up for my blog to get info as soon as we plan the next Writing Friends.
I like doing stuff with Gina and Callie because they know how to spread joy and fun while being serious about faith.
In the Fall, we also do Book Bananza together with some awesome local authors. We all sign books and fill up your stocking in a one stop shopping extravaganza!
Speaking of Friends
Next week, I’m sharing a tool for preempting envy in your child’s heart. Envy is a sneaky enemy of your child’s happiness. This free and easy info will put envy to rest permanently. Powerful stuff.
Then, week after next, we begin our series with Dr. James McAndrew, a retired urologist who will be giving us confidential and trustworthy info about erectile dysfunction. So many people asked for this tricky topic. I don’t have words to convey my joy at bringing this remarkable conversation to you to share. Since we started podcasting, I’ve prayed about who I could invite to have this confidential conversation.
Seriously, I wanted someone with no pills or procedures to sell. But the topic still made me pretty nervous, which made the interview even funnier in places. Dr. McAndrew was so much fun and smart, I asked him to come back soon and answer questions about Prostate cancer. I’ll let you know when that happens.
Finally, I try to get experts on the show based on what YOU ask for. So feel free to send suggestions. Also, I’m working on Parenting Conversations, a sequel to Marriage Conversations. Please send me your best insight about parenting.
We LOVE to hear from you!
Have you got any funny parenting stories to share? What parts of the Bible thrill you? When has a Bible teacher said something that changed your life?
May we pray together?
Dear good Father, It’s easy to forget we are loved by You. We start focusing on all the wrong stuff and before we know it, we feel anxious. Really anxious. Help us put aside anxiety now and focus on Your goodness, strength, and provision. Open our eyes to see You’ve already surrounded us with amazing, talented, loving friends. Give us hearts to recognize and receive the blessings You prepare. Bless us now because that is your heart’s desire! In Jesus’s name. Amen.

P.S. I try to always include a link to my books in case you want to buy one for yourself and one to share with a friend. Not to be pushy. But they are so much better than I ever dreamed, thanks to my editors and publishers (Elk Lake and CrossRiver). Women tell us the books hit the spot. Men tell us the Marriage book is funny! 😂 😂
Anyway, we are thanking God for that and for YOU!
Favorite Quotes about Friendship
“In fact, some women even shared they felt lonely and felt starved for companionship. They wanted and yearned for confidants; they missed connecting on a deep level. But, they also shared that they feel scared, overwhelmed and isolated because building friendships was so draining or filled with drama,” Business Woman, Author, and Speaker SharRon Jamison,
“Everything comes out of relationships. All good things come out of relationships,” Entrepreneur and Host of Art Connection on KTBB Neita Fran Ward.
“She shows up at my house in significant moments with chocolate and wine,” Fireside Talk Radio Co-Host Anna Krafve Pierce.
