Now is a time for faith not fear. One thought comforts me more than all others. In the midst of crisis, God still (maybe especially) is seeking us. He desires a relationship with us. If you are wondering how He could possibly love you, let me assure you of one thing. The God who could love and adopt me, can love anybody!
God is seeking you out now because He has always been seeking a relationship with YOU! He seeks those who will respond to Him. God sent his own Son (more about that below) to clear the way for us to have a relationship with Him. He hopes you will respond today. I hope you open your heart to the God of the universe.
Why Faith, Not Fear?
As I said in my video above, I resisted Christianity because I didn’t want to turn over my decision making power to anyone else, not even the God of the universe. To be perfectly honest, I still don’t! Fortunately, trusting God does not preempt our own free will, faith just gives us better choices. Faith in God is about having the power of His Spirit to make wise choices.
Now is a time for faith not fear. I hope these thoughts help you trust that the God of the universe does care about you. He still seeks you out to have a relationship with you. You can count on it! Dear good Father, even in the midst of crisis you give us reason to rejoice. Your presence in our lives calms our fears. We praise You because You are trustworthy. Our faith is strengthened when we consider all the ways You still seek us today. Thank You for inviting us into a relationship with You through Your Son, Jesus Christ. May many people throughout the world turn to You now. In His name we pray. Amen.
