Meditation is a spiritual discipline from ancient times. The Stations of the Cross is one way early Christians found to focus on aspects of Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection. Many modern churches still offer a Stations of the Cross path in their sanctuary or gardens for meditation so folks can ponder the life-giving Savior’s provision of forgiveness for sin.

Meditation and DIY The Stations of the Cross

Meditation seems especially appropriate for Easter this year. Today, we enjoy a virus-imposed chance to retreat and re-focus our lives on what really matters: our family, our neighbors, our God.

Our family offers this meditation tool–DIY The Stations of the Cross: The Road to the Resurrection–with you in mind, dear neighbor. You are dear to our hearts. We hope you linger here awhile.

Happy Resurrection Day to you and yours!

Below are the instructions to create your own DIY Stations of the Cross meditation path.

Simple Instructions for DIY The Stations of the Cross

We’re calling ours The Road to the Resurrection. To keep our project really simple I just printed out Life Your Way’s printable resurrection eggs. Then, I wrote the explanation you see above. We laminated each card since the forecast promised rain. A few numbers, some tree stumps, a staple gun, some ribbon, and voila! (Click here to discover why Christians love Easter.)

We hope creating your own DIY meditation path at your house gives your family hours of laughter and fun together. (For more on fostering your inner creative, click here.) Afterward, we pray your family pauses to ponder with wonder the sacrificial love of the Savior.
