Anna and I love reclaiming words that get abused in our culture. Take for instance, conservative, moderate, liberal. Gradually, better definitions developed into an obsession with us. Read a few in our Better Definitions Dictionary and you’ll instantly see why.
Can we change the culture one word at a time? You better believe it! For certain, we can change our own family culture with a little wisdom about how we use words.
So, since Anna asked for it, here’s our Camp Krafve Better Definitions Dictionary. Below, all the words we’ve reclaimed so far….

More Adventures To Come
If you’re wondering why words like Design, Imagine, Read, and Share pop up a lot in these, it’s because Anna and I are working on manuscripts for each of those topics. We want to equip busy moms and teachers with a quick 12 month holiday curriculum guide, including an Anna-designed fun easy craft(!!).
Our passion is to recognize fleshly traits in our kiddos and coach them to use their God-designed natures for good!
Thank you for checking out our Better Definitions Dictionary. You can find all these words and more in our FREE weekly (okay, almost weekly) blog. Plus, there’s tons of podcasts.
As always, we are extremely grateful to all the reading and listening friends who are in this with us!

We LOVE to hear from YOU!
Which words drive you crazy when people use them incorrectly? How has a short message, a word, changed your life? When was the last time you wrote a personal note and why?
May we pray together?
Dear good Father, we turn to You now, the one who spoke the world into existence with the power of Your word. You call Your Son, the Word. Is it possible our words can change lives for good? Of course it is! But we are definitely not You. We’re like our own offspring, fully talented and designed by You, but with a tendency to walk in the flesh and mess things up. Help us develop the daily habit of turning toward You for love and direction. Give us words today that will mean life and health and inspiration to those we love. Bless us now because that is Your heart’s desire. In Jesus name. Amen

I wish patience was on your list. I miss that word in the new Bible translations. Righteous, holy, truth, virtue, even male and female…. There’s a lot more out there. But your list is a good start..
Laura, that’s a terrific suggestion! I’ll tell Anna we need to dig deeper on patience. But, oh my, how ironic–I’m not known for patience. I do think it’s a synonym for love, though. So glad you brought it up!
Laura, I’m still processing your insightful comment. I’ll talk to Anna about your suggestions. I bet she will find them inspiring, too. Please watch for episodes with righteous, holy, truth, virtue (I really like that one!). And sadly, male and female. Those last two may need lots of prayer. I’m working on a parenting book that includes a chapter taking on self-rejection. Please pray for discipline for me as I rewrite the manuscript enough to make it both enjoyable and informative.
I love your definitions and see a book in the making……
I especially love the Servant-hearted – that goody part is so hard!
You are the epitome of servant-hearted, dear Dawn. I should have just put your name as the definition! Thanks for taking the time to comment, even if this response makes you self-conscious! You know how much I love to tell the truth! ❤️
