First thing, I took a long hard look at our episodes to discover what YOU like! Which Conversations with Anna were your favorites?

Yep, I’m rebooting on our website. So much content, now so much easier to find.

Wanna know what’s popular and what’s not?

Anna Krafve Pierce and Cathy Krafve, Co-Hosts of Fireside Talk Radio
Anna and I goof off. I really hate selfies, but she caught me smiling!

Certainly, conversations with Anna are always popular. But why are they so special I wonder?

Is it her sweet spirit or her natural smarts, seasoned with humility? Is it the way our mother-daughter perspectives clash and spark new ideas together? Maybe people are just desperate enough to listen to anything, even us! Honestly, we have no idea.

Anna is our first-born, a frequent co-host of Fireside Talk Radio. She’s a mommy, an educator, a professional artist, and a history scholar. And she’s really down-to-earth.

I hope you’ll write in and tell us which episodes you LOVE the most and why.

Conversations with Anna

Sadly, one of my personal favorites, Field Guides, did not make the top 10. Find an easy list of the rest of Anna’s podcasts at the end of today’s blog.

Sure, I wasn’t at all surprised that “Clean Up Your Room” beat out Field Guides and many others. Still, number 11 is not bad.

Plus, the added bonus on “Clean Up” includes Anna’s take down of my bad attitude about messy rooms. Busted!

In case you want to catch some of our conversations with Anna, just read to the end of today’s blog. I made a handy dandy list of all the others.

Total number of episodes so far:

Together, Anna and I have recorded 31 episodes since November 2017. Find an easy list of the rest of Anna’s podcasts at the end of today’s blog.

Total number of downloads so far:

Almost 3 million downloads of conversations with Anna! Exactly 2,939,513. Thank you for tuning in! And for sharing them with your friends.

Favorite Moments

One of our favorite things to do was redefine and reclaim words, like liberal, conservative, and moderate. We also love anything with history, art, or culture. Parenting, Marriage, Family? Yes, please!

But we bit our fingernails a few times when grand babies tried to find mommy during recording times. Yep, Anna’s lap might have held a child once or twice along the way as we talked!

Recently, we started putting a mic between us and recording in her bedroom while the kids play in her den. Somewhere in the mysterious universe, our friend Roy, Toginet wizard of podcasting, pulls the shows together for us. Thank heavens for his help because we giggled way too much the first time we sat across from each other. It’s hard to be serious when you’re having that much fun!

Don’t You Have 2 Daughters, Cathy?

Sure do! As a matter of fact, I have 3 beloved children. And 8 of the most adorable grandchildren God could think up. But most of them will never do a show with me.

Occasionally, our daughter Ellen Krafve Trant steps in to co-host me. Mother of 6 and a small business owner, the girl is busy with a capital B. And so talented. She’s got more degrees than you can shake a stick at, but one of them involves media. Plus, she’s funny in a way that is polished, self-effacing, and smart. (She takes after her dad in all that.)

So, I’m really happy when we can have conversations, too. If you missed those episodes, you’re invited to listen in now.

Ellen as Co-Host

Also, Ellen co-hosted the first few episodes because I was petrified to host alone. Star podcasters Robyn Boyd and Frankie Picasso joined us to jump start my new broadcasts.

If you want to hear what a loving, confident daughter sounds like when she supports her mom, just check out those episodes. Including reminding me to go to breaks!

Upcoming Conversations

Over the summer, I caught up with Anna to brainstorm a wide range of kid-related  topics. Before she jumps back into class, we created some fun surprises for YOU! Soon!

Also, I’m requesting prayer as I write both sequels for the first two books. Parenting Conversations, sequel to Marriage Conversations, is content rich and awaiting applications and prayers at the end of each chapter.

So far, I’m calling ihe sequel to The Well: The Art of Drawing Out Authentic Conversations, Influence in a Flash. It is now partially outlined and ready for action. It needs a real title. Do you have a better suggestion?

Plus, Anna and I are developing a series of books about developing character in kids via art. Yep, my fall promises loads of fun and creativity!

I Learn a Lot from Conversations with Anna

Not only does Anna teach me new things all the time, but I also learned a lot from the way our podcasts lined up.

Here’s what I observed:

-We can’t fake passion. Anna loves to read. Naturally, she shares books and stories with joy. Her passion for literature shows. People know she’s the REAL deal. Find more on how to foster authentic conversations in your family.

-Of course, listening friends LOVE Anna’s insight on teaching kiddos, especially creative ways to encourage reading. Take THAT, anyone who say videos are replacing books! Boom! (Find more on classic books in two popular episodes from Jack Sharpe and his team who resurrect classic kids’ literature.)

-Some of our most popular episodes are topics where we feel the most inept. Like music, for instance. Still, Miles Pike’s episodes have been really popular, too, and he is actually a talented professional musician. (Find more on inspiring your children via music.)

-Some of our personal favorite podcasts, The Art of Messing Up for instance, were not as popular. Is it because nobody wants to think about mess ups? Wrong title? If you know why Messing Up wasn’t popular, please give me a clue!

-Money saving tips are not as motivating as I thought. Me, I like to save every penny. Just call me cheap.

-Surprisingly, I even discovered a podcast I never blogged about. So I guess I’m ahead for this Christmas! Christmas with Small Children? The Gift of Freedom from Holiday Stress with Anna Krafve Pierce

Listening Friends

Most importantly, every conversation includes YOU. You are such an important part of what is happening in our culture. Thank you for ALL the good you do every day. If we can serve you in any way, it is our heart’s desire to do so. Just let us know how we can help!

Blessings! And many thanks!

Anna helped me decorate a cake for a beloved local clinic, Bethesda Health Clinic. Find The Well and Marriage Conversations.

We LOVE to hear from YOU!

What is your favorite podcast and why? How do podcasts help you during your week? What’s the best tip you’ve gotten from a podcast?

May we pray together?

Dear good Father, Thank you for all the ways You bless us daily. Most of all, thank You for our friends who walk the path with us. We are grateful for all the ways You teach us to communicate. Best of all, we thank You for the great conversation called prayer. Oh how we LOVE You, dear Lord! Bless us now because that is Your heart’s desire. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
